Love, Joy, Peace...
Committed to The Great Commission
We are committed to The Great Commission of Christ, to go and make disciples. We carry that mission into every ministry at our church.
KidsPraise Children's Ministry
Here at FBC Soperton, we believe that every child is a blessing and gift from God. We want to minister to our children by showing them the love of Jesus, teaching them about Christ, and sharing the Gospel. Encouraging and helping families is a priority as we all work together to raise our children to be godly men and women.
KidsPraise Activities
Sundays: The Gospel Project, 9:30 A.M. Classes for nursery – 5th grade. Children’s Church (after dismissal from Worship; birth-2nd grade). Wednesdays: KidsPraise, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. (rotations in music, missions, and scripture memory). Music Lessons: after school weekly (sign-up for singing, piano, or drums).
The Pursuit Student Ministry
We love students at FBC Soperton! We long to point students to Jesus and show them the importance of a daily relationship with Him. Living a life of pursuing Him, following Him, and making disciples along the way is our desire! We have a two-fold mission: 1. We understand the need students have for a Savior and we teach and love these students with the goal of pointing them to Jesus as their Savior. 2. We understand that those who have trusted in Jesus as their Savior need encouragement to develop a consistent and faithful walk with Him. Therefore we want to not only make a positive impact in the lives of our students, but to also come alongside the parents and help them develop practical ways of discipling their teenagers.
Activities for Students
Sundays: SS Small Group, 9:30am. Wednesdays: The Pursuit, 6:00-7:30pm. Discipleship Groups for Middle School and High School meet monthly. Be ready for fellowship, discipleship and outreach events planned throughout the year.
Ladies' Ministry
Our Ladies’ Ministry exists to enable women to grow in the knowledge of Christ and to form meaningful relationships with other women. We strive to encourage, challenge, equip, and train women to fulfill their respective responsibilities to their families, church, and community. Join us for: Wednesday Night Bible Study, 6:30pm. Feast & Friendship Tables (tables for Ladies; meet monthly).
Men's Ministry
Our Men’s Ministry exists to enable men to grow in the knowledge of Christ, to equip men to lead their homes towards Christ, and to form meaningful relationships with other men. We strive to encourage, challenge, equip, and train men to fulfill their respective responsibilities to their families, church, and community. We fulfill this through: Wednesday Night Bible Studies, Events for Men (Deer Season Kick Off), Mission projects and opportunities to share the love of Christ with the Church body and community.
Music & Worship
Music is a vital part of our worship services here at FBC Soperton. Our goal is to glorify the Savior, share the Gospel, and encourage families by presenting great songs of our faith, no matter the style. Music Opportunities: Worship Choir (Wednesdays, 5:30pm in the Choir Loft). Come join us! Our goal is to be those worshippers that the Father seeks–“the ones who worship in spirit and in truth.” Learn exciting new music for our times of worship together. KidsPraise (Wednesdays, 6:30pm). During our music rotation, we sing and learn songs in preparation for times of leading worship. Music lessons after school (sign up for singing, piano, or drums). All church members are encouraged to lift their voices in praise to the Lord as we gather together for corporate worship each week.
Senior Adults
Here at FBC Soperton and in keeping with Titus 2:1-8, it’s our desire and goal to take full advantage of the Christ-centered wisdom that senior adult church members possess. Why? So that they can demonstrate and pass their wisdom and insights on to younger generations, providing abundant opportunities for Christian growth across the generations. To illuminate minds, invigorate hearts, and inspire spiritual growth in the second half of life is the continuing goal and vision of our senior adult ministry. Older members here are truly being conformed to the image and likeness of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the One with whom so many have walked so long, as they continue to reach out to others with a love seasoned by deep faith and genuine hope. Always be ready for exciting fellowship and outreach events planned by our Senior Adults Ministry Team.
Missions
We seek to faithfully fulfill the mandate in Acts 1:8, "You shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." We are to share the gospel by witnessing to its truthfulness and life-changing power found only in Jesus Christ. Local, state, North America, and international missions are all part of our giving and serving.
Serve in Missions
Easter Weekend is an exciting time for our church! The Good Friday Community Dinner is one of our favorite ways to say, "We Love Our Community!" We are also thankful to serve at the Community Trick or Treat event at Jean Gillis Memorial Park. Always be ready to pray, give, serve, and go!
